Original I7 2670QM 2630QM 2760qm 2720qm 2860qm 2820qm Laptop CPU

Upgraded my old laptop with a 2nd gen Core processor. Swapped out the original I5-2430M (35W) for an I7-2760QM (45W). No need to change the cooling parts, just reapplied some high thermal conductivity paste. After installation, everything worked fine. I wish I had gone for the I7-2820QM instead, since it also has a 45W power consumption and the performance boost is noticeable. The speed is definitely faster. I went from a dual-core to a quad-core processor, and the system automatically detected the hardware change and updated itself on boot. Now it runs smoothly. Back then, processors were over a thousand, but now they're much more affordable, making laptops a great option!
