Measure the opening — Make sure the frame/groove is clean and measure the width and length.2. Cut the cane webbing — Cut it slightly larger than the opening so you have extra material to work with.3. Secure it temporarily — Use clamps or small wedges to keep the cane in position.4. Push it into the groove — Starting from the center and working outward, press the cane into the frame groove using a spline/wedge tool.5. Trim the excess — Once firmly seated, carefully cut away the excess cane around the edges.6. Install the spline — Apply glue in the groove and insert the spline/retaining strip to lock the cane permanently.7.
