DescriptionFor GM vehicles equipped with a 315 or 433 MHz tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), a “Sensor Re-Learn Procedure” must be performed after tire rotations, Remote Control Door Lock Receiver Module replacement or Tire Pressure Sensor replacement. This re-learn procedure can be carried out using the special tire pressure tool. EL-50448 works on 2014 GM models as well.Introduction1. The tire pressure sensor on 2012 models can be read only with specified diagnostic tools.2. Before the tire pressure monitoring system works normally, the body control module will store ID information of each tire pressure sensor corresponding to four wheel positions.Detailed operation steps are listed below:Step 1 Enter Relearn Mode1. Shift gear to P position2. Turn ignition switch to ON3. Enter tire pressure display page via DIC4. DIC screen shows “Press Set / Ctrl to relearn”5. Press Set / Ctrl buttonTurn signals stay on for 3 seconds and horn beeps twice to enter sensor learning modeStep 2 Read Left Front Wheel Sensor Data1. Start with left front wheel2. Place EL-50448 tool antenna close to valve stem and tire sidewall edge3. Press the start button on the toolOne horn beep means sensor data reading successfullyStep 3 Read Remaining Wheels in OrderRepeat the same steps for front right, rear right and rear left wheelsAfter all wheels are programmed: turn signals light up for 3 seconds and horn beeps twice, the whole relearn process is finishedPlease Note1.
