🧊 How to awaken sleeping seedsStrawberry seeds have a dormant period, and refrigeration is the most effective treatment. Wrap the seeds in wet tissues or gauze, put them in sealed bags and store them in the refrigerator compartment (around 4 ℃) for 15-20 days. Simulate winter environment to break dormancy, and the germination rate can increase from 20% to over 75%. You can also soak the seeds in 50 ℃ warm water for 2 hours and then cool them down to room temperature for 12 hours to promote germination. ‌‌‌🌱 What are the requirements for sowingPrepare loose and breathable seedling soil (peat soil mixed with perlite), sprinkle the seeds on the soil surface and cover them with thick soil. Strawberry seeds prefer to germinate under light, and cover them with just 0.5 millimeters of soil. Use a spray bottle to moisten the soil, cover with plastic wrap to keep it moist, and place it in a place with scattered light at 20-25 ℃. Peel off the film daily for ventilation and mold prevention. ‌‌‌🌿 How to maintain in the later stageAfter emergence, keep the soil moist but not waterlogged. When 2-3 true leaves grow, transplant them to a small pot and ensure at least 6 hours of light per day. During flowering, use cotton swabs to assist pollination and apply diluted liquid fertilizer frequently. ‌‌‌
