Utterson, a lawyer, is investigating the relationship between his friend Dr. Jekyll and the evil Mr. Hyde. Utterson discovers that in Dr. Jekyll's will, all of his possessions will go to Mr. Hyde if something happens to Jekyll. Later, Hyde murders a man, and when Utterson questions Jekyll about it, Jekyll insists he will get rid of Hyde. However, Jekyll begins to isolate himself, and eventually Utterson finds that Jekyll has transformed fully into the evil Mr. Hyde.
