LL Skincare Alpha Arbutin Cream 25g

Alpha arbutin is a naturally occurring compound found in certain plants, primarily in the bearberry plant (Arctostaphylos uva-ursi). It is used in skincare products and cosmetics due to its potential benefits for skin health and appearance. The main purpose of alpha arbutin in skincare is to address issues related to skin hyperpigmentation. Hyperpigmentation refers to the darkening of certain areas of the skin caused by an overproduction of melanin. This can be due to factors such as sun exposure, hormonal changes, acne scars, or aging. Alpha arbutin works by inhibiting the activity of an enzyme called tyrosinase, which plays a crucial role in melanin synthesis. By blocking this enzyme, alpha arbutin can help reduce the formation of melanin in the skin, leading to a reduction in the appearance of dark spots, age spots, and other forms of hyperpigmentation.
