Stories with Moral Lessons: The Crane and The Peacock

The peacock brags about its beautiful colorful feathers to the crow and crane. When the crane says it is not envious of the peacock's feathers, the peacock mocks the crane's plain gray feathers. However, the crane explains that unlike the peacock, it can fly long distances. The peacock realizes it has been too focused on its appearance and not its abilities. The story teaches that how one behaves is more important than how one looks.
