It suppresses noise interference transmitted through the mains power line while also preventing high-frequency interference signals generated by the electronic equipment itself from entering the mains grid and affecting other electronic devices. Therefore, EMI filters have become essential components in electronic equipment.Power supply noise constitutes a form of electromagnetic interference, with its conducted noise spectrum generally ranging from 10kHz to 30MHz, and potentially reaching up to 150MHz. Based on propagation direction, power supply noise can be categorized into two primary types: external interference introduced through the power input line, and noise generated by electronic equipment that is conducted outward via power lines. This indicates noise operates as a bidirectional interference signal, where electronic equipment functions both as a target of noise interference and as a noise source itself. From the perspective of formation characteristics, noise interference is categorized into two types: differential-mode interference and common-mode interference. Differential-mode interference refers to noise between two power lines (abbreviated as line-to-line). Common-mode interference, conversely, refers to noise between two power lines and ground (abbreviated as line-to-ground).
