PILOT Kakuno Fountain Pen Family / Soft Color / Madoromi | EF / F / M Direct from Japan

Your first fountain pen becomes the one you’ll always treasure. Simple and easy to use. Kakuno nibs come in three widths. Choose Extra-Fine (EF) for tiny, precise writing; Fine (F) for notebooks and diaries; or Medium (M) for slightly larger letters and envelopes. Each Kakuno is sold ready to write: pen plus black ink cartridge. Open the box, glance at the quick-start sheet (cap, nib, section, barrel—clear photos and cartoons show what’s what) and you’re set. Getting started1. Unscrew the barrel (turn counter-clockwise).2. Take the cartridge out of its pouch; the clear, un-inked end faces forward.3. Push the cartridge straight into the section until it seats.4. Screw the barrel back on.If ink doesn’t appear after a moment, give the cartridge a gentle squeeze with your finger. Nib has a right side upLook for the little “smiley” engraved on the nib—keep it facing you while you write. Hold the pen at a 45–60° angle, the same grip you use for a ballpoint or pencil, and the ink will flow perfectly. -------------------------------Smikie JapanYour go-to for authentic Japanese treasures sourced nationwide.
