Its primary function is to improve side visibility and indicate vehicle position to other road users, especially at night or during low-light conditions.2. Exterior DesignLens Shape & DimensionsShape: Typically rectangular or rounded-rectangular (slightly curved edges).Size: Approximately 90–110 mm in length and 40–55 mm in height, depending on model year and body variant.Lens Texture:Designed with a ribbed or prism-cut pattern to diffuse light evenly. Some versions use a horizontal fluting pattern to enhance sideward visibility.Lens MaterialMade from amber-colored polycarbonate or acrylic plastic.UV-treated to resist discoloration, though older units often fade to lighter orange with age.HousingABS plastic housing, usually black or body-color matched.Rubber gasket or foam backing for weather sealing against the fender.3. Mounting StyleMounting LocationMounted on the front side fender, between the cab door seam and the front wheel arch, slightly above mid-panel height. On some long-body and high-roof variants, an additional side marker may appear further along the cargo box.Attachment MethodSecured with two screws accessible from inside the housing after lens removal.Wiring passes through a rubber grommet into the fender cavity.4.
