Baby birds grow at an extraordinarily rapid rate and this growth requires a great deal of food to meet the nutritional needs of the bird. However, the crop of a young bird holds a limited amount of food, so it must be filled frequently. As the bird gets older, the capacity of the crop increases, and the number of daily feedings will be reduced. The volume to be fed is base upon a combination of observation and judgment. ❤️PREPARATION❤️

1. Combine 2 1/4 parts hot water to one part powder.
2. To eliminate bacteria growth from contaminated tap water, use distilled or boiled water. (The water should be between 105 and 110 F)
3. The formula should have the consistency of creamy pudding after ough mixing to remove lumps. This thickness allows it to be drawn into an eye dropper or and to roll off a spoon. The mixture can be made thicker for older birds.
4. While stirring, gradually add the water to the powder.
5. Check temperature before feeding. It should feel slightly warm to touch (104-106F)
6. Feed until the crop is full ❤️IMPORTANT❤️
7. Do not reuse mixed formula. Always serve new and fresh formula.
8. Always check the temperature to avoid burning the crop. ➡️The crop should be examined before each feeding. Ideally, the crop should NEVER be allowed to become compley EMPTY. ➡️Checking the crop fullness will help determine the frequency and volume of feeding to be given. ➡️Normally, the crop will empty in 4 hours.
