Packaging appears secure and inside only having just one layer of bubble wrap. The inside was shaking prior to opening the box. The Saphir balm appears authentic and one of the rear labels indicates it's from France. The balm does have that distinct Saphir scent but it's on the use and effect on the leather that will further support its authenticity. Based on these observations, I am compelled to recommend this product for use on authentic leather items.
