Most fingerboards are made of high-end hard wood which is naturally air-dried for a long time. But they may be cracked due to dryness without maintenance for a long time especially in the dry season. Equally it is easy to absorb too much moisture and cause expansion and deformation in a humid environment, which will cause the fretwires to bend and buzz.

How to care the fingerboard?

The key is to keep the wood grease balanced.

RGP-1 fingerboard conditioner can ensure long the balance of the fingerboard grease to maintain the best hardness and toughness. The oil can replenish the grease in the dry conditions. Meanwhile it can prevent fingerboards from moisture in the humid conditions to keep them in top shape.

Instructions:

1. Remove the strings and quickly wipe the dirt on the fingerboard especially near the frets with a cloth dipped by a small amount of warm water. Small amount of diluted detergent can be used for very dirty fingerboards.

2. Quickly wipe off the moisture with a dry cloth.

3. Apply RGP-1 fingerboard conditioner evenly, and wipe it with a dry cloth repeatedly until the fingerboard looks shiny and no grease can be touched with your fingers.

4. Let it stand for about 12 hours until the fingerboard absorbs the grease.

Tips:

1. When cleaning the fingerboard, do not allow the fingerboard to absorb too much water. Use it for the best result after it is dry.

2. Recommended frequency of use: once a month. It is recommended that it should be used more frequently in very dry conditions.

3. Please wipe it with a dry cloth repeatedly to help the fingerboard absorb oil evenly. String after 12 hours of standing for a better effect.
