All You Need to Know About Car Air Conditioning

Today all are accustomed to high level of comfort most of the time, be it in your office or home. When you drive your personal vehicles, you can enjoy the same level of comfort that you enjoy in your home or office. Just with the push of a small button or the sliding of a small lever, you can have seamless change from heating to cooling and back to heating again without even sparing a moment thinking that how this change takes place. you do worry about the change unless and until something goes wrong. From the starting days, many things have changed along with various improvements like automatic temperature control and many more have lead to complexity in car air conditioning systems. Although, the basic parts required for a car air conditioner to run remains the same. The most basic and the most important parts of all is the compressor which is also known as the heart of the whole system. It is like a pump which is belt driven and is fastened with the engine. This part serves the duty of compressing and transferring the refrigerant gas. As the compressor works as a pump, it has two sides, one is the intake side and the other is the discharge side.

Car air conditioning parts like the condenser come next in the important list. This part is responsible for dissipation of heat. These parts are easily available in the market and can be procured whenever required. It serves the function of radiating heat. Whenever the air conditioning system is in function, the condenser needs to have a good flow of air every time. When hot compressed gases are introduced into the condenser, they come out after cooling off as a high-pressure liquid. In most of the cases it is located in the front side of the radiator but sometimes the location might vary depending on the aerodynamics of the car.

A Much Easier Life with Auto Air Conditioning Systems

Next in the list of important auto air conditioning system’s parts is the evaporator. It serves the function of heat absorption.  It helps to remove heat from the inside of the car. Another benefit of the evaporator is that it helps in dehumidification. The most ideal temperature of an evaporator is zero degrees Celsius but it is necessary to maintain this temperature as a frozen evaporator will not be able to absorb much of the heat. There are various options for evaporators in the market to choose from, one can pick the best as per their convenience.

The orifice tube also forms an important part of the auto air conditioning systems. It is located inside the evaporator. The orifice tube comes with a filter screen at each end which helps to prevent clogging of the tube with small debris which is not at all uncommon. Accumulator helps to accommodate refrigerants into the evaporator. In short, it stores excess of the liquid refrigerant. Another role of the accumulator is to isolate the compressor from any kind of damaging liquid refrigerant as compressors can only compress gas and not liquid. This part also helps to remove moisture and debris from an air conditioning system.
